Our story

Ikumbi sits between Arusha and the great parks of the Northern Circuit, minutes from the gate of Lake Manyara National Park and on the road up to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti. Most of our guests stay a night or two between game drives, and we want those nights to feel like coming home.
So we keep things simple and warm: round cottages under makuti thatch, a garden full of palms and flowers, home cooking, a pool for the afternoon heat and a fire for the evening.

Getting here
Mto wa Mbu sits on the main road from Arusha to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti, just below the escarpment. Most guests arrive with their safari driver. Flying in? We can collect you in our own van; just tick “Airport transfer” when you enquire.
